Nowadays, every time we hear the media and the science community talk about a “new found” asteroids. It’s remarkable that in the past years we almost never heard anything about “new found” asteroids. There is reason to concern with the on going increase in the total number of “new found” asteroids and Near Earth Objects?
12,767 Asteroids including NEOs (Near Earth Objects) are discovered to date in January 2015.
A previous reported number for 01 January to 21 January was 9,546.
Since January 21 to January 27, 2015 a record of 4,303 Asteroids/NEOs have been discovered.
